TypeShii
Version control for songwriters

Where lyrics are built, not just written.

Branch a verse. Commit a line with a hash. Suggest an alternative and let the room vote. Every line keeps its author, so credit is automatic and the argument about who wrote the hook never happens.

The idea

Git, for lyrics.

Collaborative songwriting usually happens across voice memos, group chats and shared notes, where nobody can tell which version of a line is current or who came up with it. TypeShii borrows the model software teams already use for exactly this problem — and it is not a metaphor hidden from you. It is the product.

Try it

The best version wins, transparently.

Anyone in the project can propose an alternative to any line. Suggestions are voted on in the open, the top one is marked, and merging it rewrites the line while keeping its author. Votes are counts, not hearts — you always see the number.

This panel is live. Vote on it, add your own line, merge the winner.

Accountability

Credit, automatically.

When every line shows who wrote it, when, and how many people voted for it, disputes disappear. Accountability here is not punishment — it is transparency, and it is the thing that makes writing with strangers possible.
